BioAirazor is the second of the "pod Maximals" to have arrived on prehistoric Earth, but unlike Tigatron's "birth" hers was fraught with difficulty.
Airazor's stasis pod crash-landed in an area with a considerable number of energon deposits. And as energon is dangerous to robotic life when in its uncrystalised form, the fact that the protoform inside the stasis pod was at serious risk of spark extinguishment (basically, death for a robot) because like Tigatron's stasis pod Airazor's had suffered considerable damage during its landing.
Despite this Airazor's pod was, like all stasis pods that landed on Earth, hot commodity. Damaged or no both sides made bids for the protoform inside it. For the Maximals, Rhinox and Cheetor raced towards the pod to do what they could to help the Maximal inside. For the Predacons, Scorponok and Black Arachnia did their best to reach the pod first. Tigatron had also seen the pod's landing, but Black Arachnia prevented him from even getting close enough to see it. To Tigatron's credit he had managed to take out Scorponok before he too got too close to the stasis pod to claim it.
Out of the five contenders it was Rhinox who reached Airazor first, only to discover the extent of the damage incurred. Unless the protoform was stabilised and given a beast form to sheild it from the energon that seeded the planet, it would die. But with Cheetor's help (Waspinator and Terrorsaur had also arrived to claim the pod for the Predacons), Rhinox was able to repair the stasis pod and the protoform enough so that the only thing left was for the pod's scanners to pick out a compatible lifeform for the new Maximal to use as its beast mode.
Despite this it looked as though Rhinox' efforts would end in failure. Terrorsaur had managed to take Cheetor out and with Rhinox in an exhausted state there was nothing to stop him from retrieving the pod and reprogramming it into a Predacon.
Luckily for Rhinox and the protoform, a beast form was selected just in the nick of time: a peregrine falcon had appeared and Airazor was now online and ready to protect her fellow Maximals from the Predacon threat.
Afterwards Airazor took on the role of aerial scout. Like Tigatron she prefers to spend her time outside the Axalon - the Maximal base. But unlike Tigatron she is not so wrapped up in her beast mode's identity that she would avoid a visit with the other Maximals, and she knows the benefits the other Maximals present, being one who won't shun help when help is offered. While Tigatron might prefer to "prowl alone", Airazor is definitely gregarious enough to enjoy her time with her fellow warriors - in base or out.
But aside from all this Airazor's time with the Maximals was uneventful and soon to be seen as short-lived. Airazor had a knack for always turning up just when the Maximals needed her to, but other than that she was rarely seen.
And when the aliens arrived Airazor was the first to be captured, finding herself caught inside their strange fortress-like structure and subjected to the aliens' torture devices while inside. But thankfully Rattrap was with her at the time, and with Optimus Primal's help, was rescued and brought outside, only to find that the Predacons had ended the truce they had entered only a short time earlier.
And when the alien ray became active Airazor also volunteered to be the pilot for the ship Black Arachnia and Tarantulas created, and which ultimately claimed the life of Optimus Primal.
Airazor's encounters with the aliens didn't end there. While she and Tigatron were out on their planet-wide scouting mission they happened upon a seemingly innocent patch of greenery, which turned out to be an alien trap device known as "Metal Hunter". A device that shot both her and Tigatron into space to be held captive by the alien race known as the Vok while they waited and planned the eventual fates of both tiger and falcon, only sending them back in the form of the hybrid Transformer Tigerhawk when they became aware that Earth had survived their attempts to destroy it.
